April/May- Math

Recently, we have studied 2-D and 3-D shapes. Here are some activities we did!

During Math centers, students were able to use various shapes to build composite objects. Here are some of their creations.

Students used marshmallows and toothpicks to create 3-D shapes. They figured out how many edges and corners/vertices their shapes had.

April 2012- Science

We recently studied motion, so here are some pictures from motion activities!

Push and Pull Charades: Each table group was given either the word push or pull. They had to collectively come up with an idea to act out a push or pull action.

This group was laughing at some of the guesses other students were giving for their charade.

We used cars and ramps outside to explore gravity.

Exploring different ways for the car to go down the ramp.

A group working together to answer the questions on how they made their car go fast/slow.

Beginning of School Year

I first met these lovely students in August, the first two weeks of school, before rejoining them in January.

Thank You

Students and Families,

Hi! I am Miss Richardson, Mrs. Neff's student teacher this year. Thanks for visiting the blog I have put together. I am very thankful to have had your students in class this year. They have all been wonderful and made my first real teaching experience a joy. They have taught me so much, as I hope they have learned from me, as well. I am creating this blog to share some memories of this year with you. I will mostly post pictures of the students engaged in various activities we have done this spring. They enjoy having their picture taken, so thought I'd share! Thanks again for an unforgettable student teaching experience!
